The Chennai Corporation Volunteer Registration Portal is an initiative to bring together enthusiastic citizens, students, and professionals who wish to contribute to the city’s development and welfare.
This platform enables individuals to register as volunteers and actively participate in various civic activities, awareness drives, social outreach programmes, disaster response, and community welfare projects initiated by the Greater Chennai Corporation.
Whether you're passionate about environmental efforts, public health, education, or urban planning, this portal provides an accessible way to get involved and make a meaningful impact.Volunteers will receive certificates of participation and, in some cases, the opportunity to take part in internship programmes or field projects .

Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Age:
16 years and above.
(Students under 18 may require parental consent)Educational Qualification:
Open to school students (Class 11 & 12)
College students, graduates, and working professionals
Residency:
Must be a resident of Chennai or studying/working in Chennai
Proof of address or institution may be required
Skills/Interest Areas (optional but preferred):
Public health
Education
Environmental initiatives
Disaster response
Community service
Availability:
Willingness to commit at least 4–6 hours per week (flexible based on project)
Should be available for fieldwork or virtual tasks, as per assigned role
Code of Conduct Agreement:
Must agree to follow guidelines and code of conduct set by the Greater Chennai Corporation.
